![]() You can join groups, make groups, go fishing, decorate your room, enter chat rooms, invite people to chat in your room, hang around selfytown (depending on where you are at what time people make not talk a lot), accessorize your character, write diary entries (don’t make it an ACTUAL diary entries about your feelings and all that because others can see and comment on it XD), and TONS more. There are ChibiPets, games like Old Maids, and there isn’t just trading. Also, if you decide to start playing Tinierme, actually take the effort to see all of TinierMe before you judge it. The more friends you make, the more money you get. The reason why people can’t make money is because they don’t make friends. GaiaOnline is “international”, but was created and is hosted in America while TinierMe is a product of Japan, making it more internationally accessible. I love making international friends, it’s so fun and exciting. I’ve already made friends from Denmark, Finland and various parts of the UK. Despite this, most of my new friends on TinierMe are male- and international. I will have to double-check those stats though, it’s only an estimate. It’s obvious that mostly female users are on TinierMe, compared to what I think is around 40/60 M/F on Gaia. At least, for me.Īlso, on a different note, the style of the avatars in TinierMe is less flashy and much cuter in my opinion. While the number of items is still limited and the systems are still being worked on, the organization of the inventory and how easy it is to change your avatar in TinierMe is preferred to the multi-page system on Gaia Online. Once again, design and usability-wise TinierMe wins out because of simplicity. My current TinierMe “selfy” as seen in the permanent sidebar. My current Gaia “avatar” as seen in the permanent header. Gaia’s inventory is organized in a secondary tabbed navigation lets you pick equip-able items to put on by category.Īfter clicking “change” in the sidebar nav, you get the wardrobe page, which looks like this. Working with your inventory is merely a matter of simple folder organization. On a separate page the user’s entire inventory is displayed (equip-able and non-equip-able) Placing items in the recycle bin deletes them and refunds you 5 “chibi coins” If you are no where near blossoms but still want to celebrate you can always just grab some friends and enjoy some chicken and drinks. You can also organize the inventory on a completely separate page.Ĭlick an item in the wardrobe and you get a list of options. Also Tinierme is having a whole bunch of special Cherry Blossom events on the site including my OWN event titled “Stephanie’s Concert” where all users can hear my song inspired by Cherry Blossoms! But it is better than nothing ne? I am also happy to see the avatar website I talked about the last time in my blog celebrate the Sakura as well all over “Selfy Town”(virtual town) with very wonderfully illustrated Cherry Blossom trees. Although they look like baby Cherry Blossom trees compared to Japan. Actually two different parks over here carry the Sakura trees. I am fortunate and honored to experience the blossoms in my own home town. While everyone is heading over to Ueno Park in Tokyo I am stuck over here in the States but not empty handed. I know I have already written one song about the blossoms but like I said the blossoms hold a very special part in my heart. I have been inspired again to create another song called “Sakura Wonderland”. Now that it is the season again for eating, drinking, singing under the Cherry Blossom trees. Sakura has left amazing memories and stories to tell until I’m so old I can’t remember anymore! Ha! And I still remember another wonderful spring in Tokyo while I was filming my documentary Crazy Sexy Tokyo with Anime Selects Comcast On Demand. The first time I ever went to Tokyo was in the spring where I could see the beautiful Cherry Blossoms in bloom! Seeing my first full bloomed tree in Mitaka even inspired me to write a song titled “Sakura in Mitaka”. ![]()
